pulled out of parking spot heard loud snap.car stopped going forward works fine in reverse and is able to move in 1.tried jacking each side to see if it would spin they are all solid.while driving in first and taking tight corner feels like other four whel trucksl locked in does that popping and hopping.fluid a little low am going for some now.any help would be great you guys have helped me with other problems.

I looked back, You have a 95 D1? Put that in your sig.

Is your t-case locked? What position is your little shifter in?

 

95 disco 1 and the little handle is not hooked up its frozen i have a 157,000 or there abouts.been fixing alot of little things was hoping nothing big would go wrong but oh well. any direction would be great.

I think he's trying to say he's lost all gears except for 1st and reverse and it drives like the CDL is engaged.

 

the noise came from what sounds like the diff area.did not know if it went up or down on the snap.and yes in low 1 it will move just fine and reverse is also okay. i have jacked upthe front end and tried to turn each wheel also in the rear they all feel solid.drive shaft front and rear also seem okay.it has been poping once and a while in the right front while taking tight turns forwards or backwards.

 

okay here we go put car on stands and put in drive still no movement.just in low 1 and reverse,disconected the front drive shaft to see it binding still nothing.felt a little play in tcase decided to put drain pan underneath and pulled plug on tcase.heard and saw metal pieces hit drain pan.also had problems taking out plug due to amount of metal on magnet. now my question is do i rebuild it or replace it.and is there a certian one that fits a 95 or are they the same and is there anything else i should look at while i am in there.any info would be great.

the gear set and such is in good shape....all we need to do is swap your cdl housing.....
