Default No more Disco - signing off

This one of the best auto forums out there and it's been great joining in, learning and hopefully contributing. But after my head gasket coolant leak finally went from annoying seepage to full on hydraulic lock (literally overnight) we decided someone else should have the fun of fixing it. I was tempted to do the overhaul but it was a spare vehicle and we were planning to sell soon anyway. So it's off to a new home.

I'll still keep this site bookmarked because I enjoy reading - and who knows, maybe someday I'll be in the mood to buy another DII and fix it up. What goes around comes around.

Cheers,

Ron

Ah, right now the new owner is searching "how to pin engine blocks" and may even be downloading the RAVE right now.

I give it 72 hours before he logs in and says:

"Got a sweet deal on a hydraulic-locked Disco II. Should I get a pinned long-block or rebuild what I have?"

All it took was a google search and I joined, I'm pretty sure the new guy will be no different..

If the HG go on mine I'll do the same.I don't even have a driveway to do the work on it and there is no way in hell I'd pay an indie shop to do the job.It will be straight to the crusher for this baby.....
