D1 CDL shifter in D2 question

Default D1 CDL shifter in D2 question
I am putting a D1 CDL shifter into our 99 D2 and was wondering if there is a rubber boot on the top were the shifter lever comes out of the mount to seal it from dirt and water.

There is a boot under the console as well as on top. It needs one if it doesn't have one ,

You use the original boot from your non-CDL linkage
