I just learned that my 99 D1 doesn't have rear seat belts... The shoulder strap is there but the buckles aren't. Any ideas why someone would have taken them out?

Most importantly, how do I go about replacing and installing?

 

No idea why. Hard to tell why.

Simply, find someone parting out their Disco and buy the seat belt latch(es) that you're missing. No need to buy a new latch. More than likely you're also probably missing the center seat belt and latch assembly.

 

I am assuming that you pulled up the rear seat and made sure that they just didnt fall under the seat.
