Default no relief value?

here is a image of the coolant hoses with no relief valve. Above the plastic fan shroud between the coolant houses you can see a fitting with a small neck and rubber end hose cover on it. I don't know if the person I got my Disco from was thinking of putting a relief value there are what. But right now its just the metal fitting with a rubber end hose covering the hole with know relief value. Is there a way to put one there our what should I do?

That's pretty funky. All you need to do is pull the hose free from the shroud, lift up higher than any other point then open the rubber cap piece bleed it.

I like that its made out of metal vs plastic, made just remove the "T" , drill a hole and add the required fittings. As for the top hose, replace it with one solid piece.

Here is another version of the home brew solution to the broken bleeder T.

I can put threads into the brass fitting looks like brass anyways our maybe put the bleeder screw into the T fitting on top of the fan shroud where it has a rubber end hose on it right now if the bleeder screw will fit which I doubt our I think the guy I bought my Disco from would have put the bleeder screw there. If it does fit I will have to cut off some of the metal on the T the one with the rubber end hose on it because right now its facing sideways. I turned it sideways when I got my Disco because he had it facing straight up and it was going into the hood heat shield. anyone know the size of the bleeder screw?

Why not just spend $40-$100 and get the correct hose to put in there?

Ebay has an aftermarket hose for $43.10+free shipping.

or, AB has genuine part for $99.95

that might be a better idea just to replace it at 40.00 from ebay since it looks like it has a brass T fitting. Iv'e read post's saying not to use any brass in the cooling system. I do like the metal parts better but its just not the right set up. I'm buying the right set up from ebay problem solved.

I would recommend staying away from URO hoses based on the reviews I have read. As for brass parts in the cooling system, that's what every sensor uses for threads, that's what the impeller in the upgraded water pump is made of, that's what the upgraded bleeder screw is made of and that is what the tanks on radiators used to be made of. I would just swap out the nipple in the tee over the radiator with a threaded plug if you are worried about the rubber cap and hose clamp setup.

Does anyone have a link of where I can get a connector for the hoses over the radiator with a bleed screw without having to buy the hoses with it? Everywhere I have searched online comes with the hoses.
