Hey Folks -. I have a rebuilt 2001 Discovery SE that I drove to MA from Guatemala last year. With no issues along then way aside from a parasitic battery! Because of some external circumstances, we left it sitting, for a few months, with a parasitic battery. Now it won’t start even with the battery charged - we took it to auto one, had it charged and they say it’s fine. When I hook it up, if I turn the key one stop to the right, no dash lights go on. Two stops to the right and all lights go on and I can hear a click under the hood, but there is no crank at all. There is no EKA system, and it wasn’t locked when the battery went dead months and months ago.

I don’t know if it’s worth fixing vs selling for parts, and if anyone can recommend a good mechanic (in MA), or if anyone has ideas of what might be the issue. Thanks!

Kaeden, you’re posting in the Series Land Rover section. Please post in the Discovery 2 section. You’ll get a lot more help there.
It’s probably not a serious issue, but it’s also possible that something like an engine ECU didn’t like sitting so long.

i've got the same issues with my 99 D2 V8. I also have no power to fuel pump as well. This all started after a flat battery.

Did they load test the battery at parts store? Also, make sure battery cable terminals are clean and tight...and remove ground cable end from alternator bracketand clean terminal there and reinstall. If none of that makes a difference, slide under and jump the starter terminals.
