Default noise in the engine bay

This has me looking cross eyed. A sound in the engine compartment. Like a turbo kicking in on a truck. The higher the RPM, the higher the pitch. seems to be coming from around the throttle body are. check vaccum lines, charcoal filter, and hoses. Another discription of the sound would be like wind blowing over a bottle opening. vehicle specs. 96 disco. 4.0 auto, a/c. 130miles. Thanks Duboff

thanks, I did not have any idea. Anything that gives information is not an insult. It is a gift. Gotta love a rover. duboff

Look at the serpentine belt, the pulleys, the tensioner, the fan clutch and the belt driven componets like the aletrnator, power steering pump and a/c clutch bearings.
