non start

Default non start discovery 2

Hi anyone know why my disco 2 cut out and wont start.. not crank sensor or fuel problem as all been checked.. turns over but wont fire unless easy start is used then just cuts out again any help would be great thanks

What you stated sounds like a fuel delivery problem.

Yeah I know but cant find a problem as pump works and got new filter,all injectors work and fuel lines all clear.. also no faults on computer also has brand new glow plugs and recent service

shrader valve on fuel rail will give you psi with a standard tire pressure gauge.
you haven't triggered the inertia switch,have you?

Shrader valve ? And where would I find the inertia switch.... was just driving normal when it cut out and its never worked since

Glow plugs or spark plugs? It is a diesel? Serious question, btw, not being a jerk about terminology.

One problem that is sometimes misdiagnosed as the crank pos sensor is the fuel pump relay. It's under the hood in the relay box by the battery. Just swap it with the windshield washer relay next to it and see if it starts.

inertia switch = on firewall at passenger side . about 3" tall w/ a big black rubber push button on top
fuel rail is under upper manifold. valve is like the one on your tire. it's poking out of the back

its a td5 51 reg thats the most info given so far thanks will have a go in the morn when garage is open thanks
