I see what you are saying. Much simpler. So I just wire it directly from the fuse? The accessory socket fuse seems like a good fit. Or do I tap into a wire somewhere?

Also, I have been monitoring my battery with the Grom Unit out. I am losing about .10 Volts per day without it in the truck. Not sure what is normal, but I am going to monitor it for a while.

Tap directly from the fuse box under the steering wheel, be sure to use a circuit that is switched OFF with the ignition. Use one of these:

I have to out in a word for GROM Audio. They have been emailing me back, and helping me resolve the issue. They are telling me there is an Auxilliary power wire located behind the stereo that I can tap into. So I am going to check into that. Seems even simpler than the tap a fuse if it indeed exists.

If it does I will document the process.

The beauty of the tap fuse is that is leave you stock wiring alone. I used them when I installed my gauges: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...e-gauge-70216/

Since I didn't cut into my factory harness, I can pull my entire installation out of the vehicle and transfer it to another Rover easily, and not leave any marks behind..potentially decreasing the value of the vehicle or introducing electrical gremlins.

When I first started working on my vehicles 15 years ago I was all about splicing and soldering. Now I look back at some of my installations and cringe. If soldering and splicing is a must, I now prefer to create a jumper harness out of bulk wire with the correct factory connectors; again preserving the vehicle harness. You'll be amazed at how much better it looks!

Reinstalled the GROM Adapter today using a tap a fuse, some 22 gauge wire and solderless connectors. I tapped into the wiper fuse and it works great. It was really easy to maneuver around the dash with just the radio and hazard button holder removed.

Grateful for everyone's help during the project. Now on to the next, and the next, and the next projects.
