When was the last time you got an alignment? Tires balanced and rotated?

It's possible that the drive shaft wasn't put back the way it was originally oriented. I've heard of guys having vibration because of that so when I had mine rebuilt I marked mine with a silver sharpie on both sides of where the shaft attaches to. This might not be true but I did it to make sure to avoid problems.

EDIT: Also check for balance

also, a slim possibility that your new driveshaft is not properly balanced. this is what I'm dealing with, but it's an easy fix. where did you buy your replacement?

I too am having the same trouble so I've decided to take both front & rear shafts out and have them balanced. My vibration doesn't start till I hit 55-60 on up.

Also agree that the drive shaft may not be balanced correctly. That will cause a viberation and a worn tire or a bent rim could be to blame.

Did you have the drive shaft rebuilt or replaced with a new one? If rebuilt, did your mechanic replace the centering ball, if not, that will be your problem.
Did your mechanic grease all the u joints when installing them?
For a simple test, remove the front drive shaft, shift into high lock and drive on the rear shaft only, is the vibration gone, if so bad rebuild.

my 2003 disco II experienced the vibration problem , it felt like I was driving on a very rough road . I stopped the truck and checked the tires , all were ok .I started back up and the vibration had stopped . Any ideas ? It then showed a code that I haven't checked yet , I will do so today .
