Default O2 Sensor Question

I have a 95 D1 with 175k mile that has had issues stalling and misfiring while driving under a load. It seemed to run fine at idle but putting it in gear and driving it would almost always start pinging/misfiring and eventually stall. I replaced the plugs and wires and changed the fuel filter. Still had the same problem. Eventually took it to the shop and they replaced the vacuum advance on the distributor. It was running awesome until I had to take it up a pretty big hill to get it home. It started to loose power so I manually down shifted to 3rd, but still had no power. Check engine light came half way up the hill. Made it to the top and stopped for 30 min while I checked the code. It showed a code 45 - Lambda sensor B - right bank. Turned truck back on and it idled really really rough for a couple minutes. Drove it around the parking lot and it seemed to get better. CEL is still on but managed to get it home. Seemed to run better the rest of the drive home.

Think O2 sensors are shot or do I have another problem? Talked to the repair man and he said that the O2 sensors were probably bad before, but since the truck was running so poorly they didnt throw the code. Thanks for any advice.

They should have been changed at 100,000 miles if you were looking for maximum power.

Mine did a similar thing under load last week towing a +6000lbs trailer after about 50miles. Same code etc. We'll both be buying O2 sensors this week. I've heard rover connection has them at a good price. Running it too long with a bad O2 sensor may clog up the cats? So need to change em soon.

Replacing those little bastards are a real pain especially if they are nice and rusted on and the person before you did not put on any anti seize grease on the threads.
