Default O2 sensor question

I have seen a few websites selling "universal" 2,3, and 4 wire O2 sensors with no plug on them for about $20 - $30 and was curious if anyone has tried these sensors out and had any luck, after dumping almost $800 into the steering issues recently 4 new O2 sensors at full price (along with a new set of tires)is going to really hurt my wallet so I am really trying to save as much money as possible at this point in time.

You will get mixed replies on this one. I understand, especial in the case of a D1, $100 a piece is expensive, but my feeling is you will get a much better outcome using the specific 02 designed for your truck, which by the way is very specific to your year Disco because of the up graded evap system

much better outcome meaning fuel economy and horsepower? and also specific being OEM or are there aftermarket brands (that may be a little cheaper) that are equivalent?

Go to Rover Connection and check out their prices as well as the information on only using a specifically designed 02 that you won't find as a universal 02.
