Default O2 Sensors... Brand Specific??

I am very new to the D2 world in every way shape and form. picked it up for super cheap needing work. noticed it has a rough powerband and idle at times. check engine light is on and also blinks. Living in Puerto Rico and speaking very minimal Spanish makes it tough sometimes so im hoping to get over to the Army base and use their hobby shop and scan it. but I am almost certain the O2s are shot

mY old jeeps were very picky and ran like **** with Bosch and like Raped Apes with NTK..... are these similar? or will Bosch/Denso/NTK work perfectly fine?

I've never had a problem with the Bosch in my DII.

Whatever you do, don't get cheapos. The Bosch are factory and theyre the only ones I've had in my truck that have worked.

If the light is flashing, that means you have a misfire. Drive it as absolutely little as possible with the misfire. Those will kill your catalytic converters in a heart beat. I'd go for spark plugs, wires, and coils also if you're having a misfire issue.

It does in the US anyway. Check around, shopping to Puerto Rico may make that untrue.

I've just never wanted or been in a position to wait. When I've needed an O2 I needed it NOW!

It's true that a Bosch 15175 is $56 shipped (no tax) via Amazon Prime vs.
$81 locally at AutoZone (tax included) but I didn't want my sons driving the truck with a flashing SES.

Now that it's no longer a daily driver I could likely, in most cases, order one from Amazon. But come to think of it through an odd series of events I now have a spare, brand new Bosch 15175, so if I ever need to use it I can then replace it from the lowest price source.

On a related point, I've never replaced the rear O2s. I know others have often recommended replacing all four at once but that's never made sense to me. If the rears aren't throwing codes why bother?

awesome thanks ill look around. definitely dont want to go cheap but even at 80 bucks a sensor my jeep hated bosch lol

and its throwing a misfire im trying to trace down. but unfortunately yesterday the power steering pump locked up on the high way and threw the belt.... if you know anything about puerto rico they dont exactly have the best shoulders soooo she got a bit warm and started growling at me. im hoping it was just steam locked because when it cooled down she fires right back up and no noise so well see how that pans out for me....
