Well I got the scanner, seems to work fine put I haven't found any good software to run on my laptop to talk to it, either it freezes up or has a hernia

I found a copy of Digimoto Lite on some site out of the UK. It works ok for code reading and clearing and live sensor readings like temp, O2 sensor readings, etc. The low end Scan Net program that comes with the unit or is available online is crap. All it does is freeze or work so slowly that it's useless. You can also get some software from Palmer Engineering that looks pretty decent for $49.95 for the PC or $9.95 for an android device. You can also download it for a free trial. For more in depth diagnosis, you need to buy the more expensive software packages.

The Android platform is much more flexible than iOS due to the control Apple exerts over their hardware. I'm going to jailbreak an old iPod touch I have and see what I can load on it for monitoring through the OBD2 port. I'll keep you posted.

Well I got digimoto lite working on the computer but none of the gauges are responding, no check engine light so I don't know if codes are being read but it seems like it's talking to the computer. I might just need a better program.

Did you get the bluetooth synched up with the program? When you turn on the bluetooth on your laptop, go and check the hardware properties. It will tell you which COM port it is. In Digimoto, you will need to assign that under settings. Then click on connection and click Open. Under Serial Interface, you should then see communication. Go tot he Main srcreen and tick off the functions yoou want to read and you should be good to go.

Wow, I want a bluetooth scanner.
Nice.

I have an old scanner that I paid $500 for!
You can put the Landrover codes into this site:
