Personally is got 150k on it now i would run it, its going to need a rebuild at some point. but that's just me.
i sure some of these other people who throw new bearing on old cranks or old lifters on new cams will tell you otherwise

Thats ALMOST the definition of a boat anchor....looks like some big pitting to me? You have it tore down that far already...I wouldnt put it back together like that...thats too bad it got wet like that....MO
I second Motorhead's opinion. If you've got it down that far then you might as well just finish the rebuild.
Personally I'd have all the cylinders cleaned up and then go with all new bearings, crank, pistons, cam, lifters, everything. You've got it down this far, you might as well do it now instead of in 25k miles.

Thank you so very much for your insight. Time to decide. I started this project over a year ago... I'm a little overwhelmed, almost burn down ! This route looks very appealing indeed...
Thank you for your sympathy...I'm the culprit, I put a water hose through the system and ran the engine for 10 minutes ...I had no idea what a disaster I was creating...I have only myself to blame.
Thanks

Thanks Alex. I happen to agree with you.
I would love to do that, but It has been over a year since I started, at a great sacrifice. I'm a stay home dad of Twins with minimal
discretionary income....I would go with my eyes closed with this route...but I think it would take me another year...LOL

I was hoping to gather opinions and see what is the least I could do at this junction.
Many thanks again !
