Default Odd electrical problem

For about the past month, I’ve had a recurring electrical issue. Approximately every 5-6 days, the sport control dashboard light and often the three amigos will begin flashing, and there is a noticeable sluggishness to the throttle. Alternator/battery indicator does not illuminate. Radio shuts off soon after, and if driven long enough, all gauges go to zero. Once this happens, the battery must be charged/trickle charged, and the car is fine for another week or so.

The alternator and battery test fine - I’ve checked several times, and both are less than a year old anyways. I took the car to a mechanic and of course the car behaved for three days and they were not able to diagnose any issue. Three days later, same problem.

It may be my imagination, but it seems like on a couple of occasions the issue started when I shifted into reverse.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

DRW

Yes, check and clean all battery terminals and ground connections.

Default Ground advice

Thanks. The battery terminals are clean and everything appears to be tight. I’ll prod around under the hood a bit more tomorrow, though.
