08 LR3 4.4 V8 No Start Electrical Issue
I was on my way home when I realized my battery light was on, when I got close just about every dash light lit up and headlights became dim so I pulled over and shut my LR off.
When attempting to start at first engine cranked but couldn’t start and after further attempts no crank and eventually my starter could not be heard ticking and my interior lights and dash icons will not illuminate, doors only lock/unlock if done physically as if I’ve removed the battery. I tried to jumpstart and had no results, lights wouldn’t even come on.
Any advice on how to proceed, has anyone had a similar issue? Battery is brand spanking new, just over 1 week old. Could there be a short somewhere or a bad connection or could it be a bad alternator or starter? I need help

1) yes there could be a short, though unlikely
2) why did you replace battery, just because you wanted to? or had an issue?
3) it is probably the alternator not charging your battery (which wasn't being charged for a week if what you say is correct)
Try first hooking up a trickle charger to your battery, and charging it up, you should own a multimeter if not go to a hardware store and buy one, test your battery once it has charged, you want at least 12.5 volts to start the car, start the car and go drive around the block or something, or just run the car in driveway, put headlights, radio, heated seats or whatever on, and see what the voltage at the battery starts doing (leave the multimeter on the battery terminals)
I dimly recall the LR3 voltage for a working alternator was 14.4v, so anything less than that is likely an issue, if the voltage stays at your starting 12.5v and starts to drop, your alternator is not working and the battery is running your car by itself.
In that case, go buy one and swap it in, surprisingly DIY for this car.
Best of luck
