Question odd lock problem, think actuator not sure.

so i thought my actuator was shot on my passenger side rear door. I unlocked the truck here the locks unlock but the little lock tab doesnt come up. so i checked the door but it was unlocked! so then i got scared and locked it and tried it again, the tab didnt move still appeared locked and the door was locked. has anyone else had this problem? something maybe disconnected between the actuator and the little tab. at least the door opens and closes and locks and unlocks fine just appears locked from the tab.... any ideas?, many thanks!

pop the panel off, sounds like the little rod that attaches the 2 has come loose.

I had the same issue with the rear door. Ended up being the metal rod that holds the tab had fallen off.
