Default odd question regaurding power seats

OK guys this question is probably a waste of all of our time but I was thinking I would like this feature today so I put a little thought into it and decided to look into it. I have seen in many newer vehicles with power seats a driver 1 and driver 2 setting (it just auto positions the seat to a saved setting for each driver) my question is does anyone know if this is a part of the switch or is it controlled from the BCM or something (I know Lincoln and Cadillac offers this) if this is a setting in the switch and it can be integrated into our trucks I am sure I could handle the wiring, but I am not sure where the brains of that system are and I don't want to put to much thought into it if it absolutely cant be done.

not really a big deal but thought it would make a nice mod if it can be done fairly easily.

My wifes Volvo has that too, it has 3 seat memories.
I do not think DI's have a smart enough BCU, if one at all.
I think all the components are controlled by their own computer.
The windows and sunroofs have their own.
The, the alarm has its own, the wipers have their own, you get the idea.

well I was looking at switches online for Lincolns and they have a "seat memory module" not sure how it works but this makes me wonder if this can be incorporated in the D1.
