Anyone know if $300 is a reasonable quote to get a toyota corolla bumper and front fender painted? This is a from a good local collision shop not Maaco or anything like that. Trying to get my corolla back on the road for cheap.

Yeah parts are already primed black so I could just slap them on. Wife would not drive it then and I would not get my truck back from her crazy *** lead foot.

$300 is a great price. I'll give ya a suggestion. Do the prep work yourself, and you can pretty much guarantee good results. Good prep leads to a good paint job. The prep work is usually the part the hi volume paint shops skimp on. But if you remove the door handles, trunk lock, light lenses, and other trim pieces you DON'T want painted - then you're very likely to be quite satisfied with the results. Spending that 4-6 hours is the difference between having the paintjob look like a Tijuana quickie vs looking factory. And when your car arrives already prepped, the guy doing the painting will take greater care since you just saved his **** all of the pita work...

Cool

With most any paint or body work I've ever had done.....the actuall cost of the paint was the killer, a spray can of paint is , oh say 4 or 5 bucks........the same ammount of paint from a body shop is , oh say 3 or 4 hundred dollars !!!

I'm going to give the guy a shot, he is coming to my house to pick up the parts and says he will help me if I get stuck. Gotta love small towns.
