Off Topic: Quote on a paint job, any ideas

$300 is a great price. I'll give ya a suggestion. Do the prep work yourself, and you can pretty much guarantee good results. Good prep leads to a good paint job. The prep work is usually the part the hi volume paint shops skimp on. But if you remove the door handles, trunk lock, light lenses, and other trim pieces you DON'T want painted - then you're very likely to be quite satisfied with the results. Spending that 4-6 hours is the difference between having the paintjob look like a Tijuana quickie vs looking factory. And when your car arrives already prepped, the guy doing the painting will take greater care since you just saved his **** all of the pita work...
