Default offroad/driving light installation

Hey guy's: I just bought a pair of 135 Watt.K.C.driving/offroad lights for my 99 disco 2..I want to opperate them only when I engage my highbeams. They come with their own switch to be installed in the cabin /dash .But i want to hook them up directly to the highbeam wiring. Is this possible ,and are there any dangers or sideeffects that may occur by doing this or is it a very routine opperation .for My electrician friend to carry out?

thanks mummra...

Besides the fact that they are illegal on the road in most states, you could get around the wiring problems. I would run them on a separate switch.
