Hi,

I have a 95 Disco which suffers from a ticking noise from the engine once it gets warm. My mechanic thinks the oil pressure is dropping when the engine is warm and has suggested replacing the front cover plate which includes the oil pump. He's already had the valve covers off and things look ok there. I was considering doing the front cover replacement myself. and I was wondering how hard a job it is, and if it can be done without removing the radiator?

yikes! do you have the repair manuals and such? I would imagine I'd look for that first. all I really know bout the front cover is I haven't seen one that was cheap. Let me know if I can send you the manuals, otherwise good luck!
