Oil in Cylinder 1 with low compression

before you go ripping it apart was number 1 on TDC, if not the camshaft will be holding the valves open.

Ok So I ordered the Head Set from Beck Arnley w/o head bolts
I have a new thermostat,oil,filter,oil seprator,engine degreaser
What else should I have on hand before I tear it down?

Yes it was on top dead center for the leak down test

on hand - your own copy of the RAVE download. If not ordering new torque to yield bolts, are you planning on studs instead? Would not advise re-use of old head bolts.

what are you going to use insteed of the head bolts? ARP studs?

And let us not forget a trip to the machine shop to have heads at least checked for flatness, the spec is 0.002 inch, so that is about 1/2 the thickness of your printer paper. You can check yourself with suitable straightedge and feeler gauge, see RAVE. Will also need sealant for the corners of the valley pan gasket.
