yea that one works. the 3001 is preferred over the 2004 because it has a larger capacity. where did you get the filter from? did you specifically request a 3001?

They usually list the 2004 filter as required for Land Rovers.

Default RE: oil filter

Getting oil filters by mail is crazy, unless you're buying other stuff to make shipping worthwhile, or you're buying a case. Next time just get a Wix filter locally, about $5 or $6 and they are excellent flters. PN is 51515. NAPA Golds are the same filter. This one is a bit taller than the OEM for a bit more capacity. I can tell you the OEM size too, but would have to look it up.

Update (cut and paste from a post I made a while back on another forum):
The Wix oil filter is 51068. There are two others, of higher capacity in case people are interested.
The 51515 (which I'm using) which is the same except 5.178" tall rather than 4.338"
There is also the 51773 which has a two quart capacity and is 6.982" tall. (I used this one for a while but had to quit when I relocated my steering damper as it as too long)

They all have the anti-drainback valve and 8-11psi bypass valve.
