Default oil to heavy

replaced the idler today and while we were at it
i had him replace the oil again, when he bought the truck we replaced oil with the rotella 15-40 and the engine which was quiet and smooth to begin with started lifter ticking, we changed to rotelle 5-40 synth. tonight started her up and no more tickity tickity

somebody stop me i'm thinking about buying one for myself

Nothing wrong with rotella 5w40. Lots folks run it and it is a preferred weight up north during the winter.

Certainly not too heavy, south of the frozen north, where we don't have to change shock absorbers at every oil change (potholes); you can run 20W50.
