Default Oil Leak In 03 Discovery II

I was hoping I got get a little help. Well for the last 2 weeks I have been having to put a 1/4-1/8 qt of oil in a week. This weekend I cleaned the pan up to see if I could find the leak. After I cleaned it I let it sit for the whole day. And there was no sign of the leak. I drove her on Sunday and return home a parked it overnight, Today on the garage floor is more oil???? I climb under it to see where shes leaking and i cant tell where it is? I got pics after I cleaned it and again today, I was helping someone could point me in a direction? Thanks Again for your time

Most likely the front cover gasket and/or the front oil seal - judging from the location of the photos. Tighten your valve covers as they love to leak.

Buy a bottle of White Shepard oil stop leak and then go for a nice 2 hour drive.

Check out my 90k maintenance thread. Also Have a look at the large bolts on the front cover. They are close to 22mm. They can come loose and were oil cooler ports on 00-02 discovery's.
It most likely your front cover gasket and a leaky crankshaft seal. I just replace my crankshaft seal and oil pan gasket. I still have a leak, but it has slowed down a little. I dont have too add oil between 5000 miles. So its not too bad.

My local LR shop told me the cover isn't necessary, he's go a stack of them. I read that around here too. So I took extreme measures to get it out...it won't be going back.

Now it is much easier to locate leaks.

No sweat.

And as wise man on this blog says, they don't leak they mark their territory. Your disco has been peeing on itself for a long time. You'll find quite a mess in there, but very little corrosion if your's is anything like mine.
