Recently my oil light started to flicker when warm comes on for a bit while driving but if I go over a small bump or a grove in the road it flickers off and on
I’m thinking it’s a bad sensor or wire as it flickers over small bumps
I did change the oil last week with 5w30 as I had a few jugs lying around I usually use 10w30 for summer

Have any of you had any issues with bad oil sensor causing light to flicker ???

 

Bad sensor or loose wire can cause it. I would get under there and check things out before I drove it to much

 

I just went under there while my wife was in the car and started wiggling the wire and sensor she said oil light began going off and on while I was wiggling wires
it’s a hard spot to find a bad wire

 

Unbelievable here in Canada and the state of parts stores
wanted to get a mechanical oil pressure test kit most don’t even know what I’m talking about and no one has it
also no one has a damm pressure sensor for a disco 2
unbelievable no wonder they lose so much business to online.

but i do find rock auto has a pretty good parts list for the disco and it’s 2 day shipping with no customs fees and it’s in cdn funds
