Default Oil oil everywhere

Anyone in the Denver, CO or Castle Rock, CO area good at tracking down oil leaks? My '04 Disco is pissing oil all over itself and I feel like I'm chasing my tail. I've recently replaced the water pump, thermostat, front main seal, head gaskets, rocker cover gaskets, oil pan gasket.

I'm scared the rear seal(s) are leaking. Doesn't look like the leak is coming from the front or up high. Looks like it's coming down the sides and/or the rear of the engine. It's so bad the spray on the highway is coating my rear window. I feel bad for anyone following me.

I'm up in Fort Collins right now. I'll be free this weekend if no one is closer or willing to help.

One thing that does help though is clean everything and go under when its running.

My buddies Subaru had a nasty oil leak out of no where and it was from a pinhole on the oil filter that only sprayed under high (freeway)rpms.

How to trace oil leak :

Steam clean engine
Add UV dye to the engine oil
Run it for a while
Go looking with a UV flashlight

Also works for cooling system, A/C, transmission, PS leaks etc.

Probably the valve cover gaskets slipped when you installed them.
Super tricky.

Personally, I'd clean it with a few cans of brake clean rather than water because water tends to get into wires and connections and cause problems.

It doesn't have to be spotless, just clean enough to track the leak.

Are you 100% certain it's oil and not power steering or tranny fluid?

Yep. I'm certain its's engine oil. Maybe I'll clean it up again and crawl underneath like ya'll are suggesting. It's elusive for certain.
