Default Oil Pressure light, removed oil pump

I just picked up another 03 Discovery and the low oil pressure light comes on at idle, I tried changing the oil with no change, so I pulled the oil pump, there wasn't any clogs or debris on the oil pickup and the was a small amount of sludge in the bottom of the oil pan, but I dont think enough to cause any issues and definitely below the oil pickup level, so I went ahead and pulled the oil pump expecting and hoping it would be broken or have obvious wear. One I pulled and looked at it I dont see anything that looks bad, there's an obvious front crank seal leak, but from what I see the oil pump looks fine ? I have included some pictures. Not sure where to go from here, pull one of the main bearings an inspect for wear ? anything else in the front cover that could cause the low oil pressure at idle ? any suggestions?
