Default Oil Pressure for Ultra Gauge

Anyone figure out how to read the oil pressure with an ultra gauge? I just assumed it had the capability when I bought it. How did I overlook that?

I dont think that the ultra Gauge read oil pressure.

I have been looking at the "Edge Insight CTS monitor". The website says that it reads oil pressure, but it's big $$$$$. I think I am willing to pay the money for the easy install and it covers just about any aftermarket gauge you could think of installing. It also has the code reader/clearer.

The Ultra-Gauge can only read the info it is given, it is NOT given oil PSI, neither is the trucks ECU.
The oil PSI sending unit is just a on/off switch, oil PSI is over ~8 and the switch is off thus the light on the dash is off.
Oil PSI drops below ~8psi and the switch is now on, thus the oil warning lamp comes on.
Pretty simple, 99% of all oil PSI warning lights work this way.
Only if the car has a OEM oil PSI gauge on the dash would you get a reading on the Ultra-Gauge.

IMHO only if the oil PSI was monitored by the ECU would it show up in the OBDII port, which drives the Ultra Gauge and similar products. So it might be possible to have an electric sensor / oil PSI gauge, but it not be part of the data monitoring by the ECU. Depend on vehicle.

You would think since it gets battery plus from the OBDII port to run it could measure it, but that would require more circuitry. I noticed that some vehicles do output that to OBDII, I've got a '06 Kia minivan that shows the volts on my scanner.
