and in the page 21, 22...are the correct dimensions of the pump gears...
by the way... I going to change the gears of my 01 Discovery's oil pump... but have a question... does the gears have and specific position or just has to drop it in and go..??

The inner gear has no difference that I could see. When you go to put the cover back on, you have to line up the Woodruff key and that will position the gears. Be sure to use new oil to lube everything. I have some pictures and information on what I did in a thread on here. You might want to skip through to page 6 where the oil pump post is. Search "Doing a major 100k service".
I'm just south of San Antonio in Floresville. Have you been to any good trails in South Texas?

If you get the gears from AB then there is no up and down side. If they are factory landrover then the chamfered side faces into the cover. I smeared grease on the gears and dumped some gear oil in before installing the cover plate. Then fill oil filter as full of oil as you can get it, install and then pull fuel pump and injector fuses and crank for 30 sec. Re-install fuses and the oil light should go out in 5 sec or less.

new gears on the left
New gears installed w/Chamfered side down and flush side up.
Marizcal, If you ordered from AB can you please look at the outer gear closely and see if one side is flush and the other chamfered to clear this up????
I may be wrong about all of this but I just did the oil pump 2 weeks ago and I am almost 100% certain that the new gears have 2 different sides. CLICK ON THE PIC AND ZOOM IN WITH YOUR BROWSER TO GET A CLOSE UP LOOK!

Your right that outer edge does have a bevel, I also just looked at my old set and its the same way. I just know I e-mailed eac and they said it did not matter which way they went in. So, now I have no idea which way I installed them. Its been about 1500 miles since I installed them and its pumping fine so I guess I got them right?
Also, those dont look like original gears, land rover original gears should have an arrow pointer imprint on the inner gear, non beveled side. This was for factory installation alignment on the assembly line. It could be covered up with that big red arrow in the picture, if not then your gears may have been changed in the past.
