Question Oil Seal Removal

Working doing the front cover gasket kit change and after removing the crankshaft pulley RAVE says to use LR tool xxxxxx to remove oil seal. Is there an easier way to do it? Tried a couple things and couldn't get it to move. Read a lot on the forum on install tips but not much getting it out.
Thx

Most people use a flat head to get it out but be careful not to gouge up your timing cover. I actually had better luck with a flat nail remover, Put the "V" part around the seal and use the side on the timing cover (CAREFULYL!) for leverage.

a couple of sheetmetal screws into the seal and a pair of pliers will also work
