Default Oil Separator

My brother just got a 1998 D1 with 99k, I am currently doing the 60k service on it, but my question is, is the oil separator the same as the pcv valve? If it is, then does my 03 D2 have one also? Thanks guys.

Yes, I am. At this point I have cleaned all the oil around the engine and also under the engine, will put some more miles on and see where the oil leaks are coming from, so far the valve covers are obvious.
