Default Oil sump gasket recommendations?

Going to swap my oil sump this week and will need to replace the gasket. Besides RTV in the proper places, does any one recommend a gasket. The Victor Rienz gasket from RockAuto looks interesting...or is OEM the way to go?

More Information for VICTOR REINZ OS32343

Thanks!
Rich

I use The Right Stuff all away around and it works great with no pre-formed gasket.

Picked up the Victor Reinz gasket. Was under the truck making sure I had everything I needed to get this done and noticed there might already be a Victor Reinz gasket in there plus a very generous amount of RTV from the PO. Any one tried using thread sealer on the sump bolts? I tightened these once before and they are loose once again...some I can undo with my hand.

i would put a thin bead a black RTV on the whole gasket surface, after it sets you could lose every bolt and it wouldnt leak

I used the VR gasket and it has sealed pretty good. However, my bolts do tend to loosen as well. I've been under there twice now to cinch a few down. May pull them and blue loctite them next time.

How is the Right Stuff for removal? Is it hard to remove to clean mating surfaces?

Got the new sump installed this weekend and was pretty straight forward, I did notice I am missing a bunch of sump bolts mainly the 3 shorter ones connecting the sump to the bell housing...will have to track those down. Will see how we do on leaks now. The PO sure RTV the hell out of the old gasket, it took me over an hour to break the seal and get it off as it was glued tight.

Had one other surprise, this was my first oil change since doing head gaskets a few months back and found some coolant in my sump! Not a huge amount but now I know where it was going as I could not find any external leaks. It was never enough to show up on the dip stick.
