oil sump rubber grommets

Am I correct in assuming that the two rubber oil sump grommets should be lubed with oil when refitting with new replacements?

Oil will make them swell so I would say no.

I used some soap suds to help them push into place on my '03 when replacing them. They're a bit difficult to put in dry. I can also confirm that oil will make them swell.

and don;t push them in too far and drop them in the bell housing....if it feels like going in crooked, start over...
