Default OK to install 32" tires and drive before lift?

Folks - how much rubbing would I expect from installing 275 / 65 / 18s before I put a lift on? I already have the 2" OME medium kit, however I haven't yet had time to install in on the weekend.
I need new tires and Kauffman has a pretty decent deal on BFG KOs with free alignment - thinking about going ahead to install the tires then do the lift a couple of weeks from now.

What do you think? Is this just asking for trouble (main concern is damaging tires)?

Thanks!

Michael

You're most likely to get rubbing on the front bumper if it is still stock. I would recommend against installing tires until the lift is complete. You may or may not do damage to the tires, but will most likely rub harder on your bumper.

Thanks Erik - any idea how much damage? I will install the lift in two weeks, wondering if it won't cause too much carnage in that time.

My guess is it will only take 1 time rubbing the bumper at any speed to tear up some plastic. If you can't wait on the tires, you could do some trimming. Or, buy the tires now and put them in your garage until you get the lift on. Then, take it in and have the tires mounted.

No way they will fit. Way too big for the stock DII. Better wait til you get that put in unless you want to damage your fenders and such.
