Default Ok, springs came, now what?

I finally got a set of DII springs and mounting hardware to replace my faulty bags, so I called my local shop and they can't quote me because they want me to come in so they can figure out how to milk me for as much as possible.

So I know some guys do this on their own, but I don't have a spring compressor or anything crazy. Is this really the 30 minute job that people say it is?

Are there any detailed pictures, instructions floating around?

there are some videos, i think. you can do it w/o spring compressor, prolly have to unhook shock.. your axle should drop far enough with the frame on jack stands and a small bottle jack placed between the frame and axle (bump stop location)
yes you can do it and yes it is a fairly easy job.

It's not a 30 minute job the first time you do it, but you don't need a spring compressor and it's really easy.

Yeah, especially if you are installing stock springs, they go in pretty easily. The HD terrafirma springs had me fighting them.

The hardest part for me was tapping the holes in the axle housing, because I was using a cheap greatneck/autozone tap.

If you do go to a trusted shop, it shouldn't take them more than 2 hours

You will need to have a shop turn off the SLS thru the ECU to prevent battery drain and dash lights. What are you doing about shocks, have they already been replaced, if not this should also be done to help control the new coils.

Can't I just pull the fuses? Can any shop turn off the SLS or just a Rover shop? I had no idea about the shocks.

some have problems, some don't with the fuse pulling. testbook or the like is needed to delete sls from system. dealer or not, as long as they have the equipment. I pulled fuses, relay and all sls components. I have no drain, but I do have a goofy raise the rear light, on the dash. and I have received the speed actuated chime that goes along with it, on a few occasions.
