Default the old fwd and E-brake boots are gone!

so I finally got around to getting my shifter boots done. made a few extras for some buddies while I was at it. they are pretty straight forward to make.

They look a little "poofy" till they have been in the truck for a little bit. they need a little time for the vinyl to relax.

well I am a contractor so I already had the glue and everything and my wife had the sowing machine. all I had to buy was the vinyl and that was like $9. I can make someone a set if they want one. honestly the can be made in any color, if you can find the vinyl. when we get my wife a disco she wants hers in zebra and a zebra tire cover on the back. a can of the good 3m spray adhesive is like $12 bucks.

Cool, do you have patterns to cut the material by? Mine are a bit mangled, but I think I could do this, but wanted to make sure I have the correct pattern to make sure the boots are not too small since some of my material is missing on the originals.

I don't have a pattern. I just cut mine apart and ironed them flat. and traced them. honestly they don't have to be perfect. as long as you have the basic outline you'll probably be fine

Nice, the vinyl looks a bit shiny, or maybe that's just the photo. I've got the RN kit in mine because mine were totally gone. Rovers North - The Source for Classic Land Rover Parts - E BRAKE & TRANSFER BOOT KIT DI, DII

No the vinyl isn't actually shiny. it is pretty matte. It just looked that way cause the ones in the truck have black magic on them. my interior looked pretty dull so I scrubbed it and put a heavy coat of black magic on evrything. And I had the flash on when I took those pics. My bro has the replacement ones I think from ebay. but I honestly like the look of mine better. his look like one piece rubber or something. There are lots of different kinds of vinyl. you just have to get the thinner stuff or it doesn't bend right.
