Default OME Shocks?

I need to replace my DII ('03) suspension but am wondering if I can do it piece meal? I am wondering if I can replace my shocks and stabilizer first them do the springs 1-2 months later? I plan on going with 779's up front and 762's in the rear.

Also I want to thank the forum for the Seafoam hints, it seemed to help a bit. This and replacing my O2's all around (and maybe going with the 8mm spark plug wires) should hopefully do away with the SES light.

You could do the steering stabilizer anytime, but (this is what I did) wait until you have the springs and shocks together. It's just easier that way. Just my $0.02.

Is there a reason for that? I can understand the cost will be more in the long run.

Are you paying someone to do the install for you? I think the cost of installation would be close to the springs you want to get later.

Stabilizer can easily be done on your own. It's a 2 bolts off, 2 bolts on direct replacement.

The money saved on the 2nd install will buy you more parts too. Grrrr, single line reply's.

Make sure you buy the HD OME shocks. Will you be running a winch and bumper, if so consider using the 751 front coils instead of the 779, which tend to drop with extra weight.

Buy your shocks and then your springs and replace them all at once, you need to remove your front shocks to replace the springs so save yourself the labor and do it all at once.
Just throw the shocks in the garage at hang tight.
But to answer your question, yes, you can do piece meal and replace them seperatly.

I think you can run the longer shocks, as long as you don't off-road until you got the longer springs on, to avoid the shocks to bottom down and damaging them. But I think that it is easier/safer to get the springs first and then the shocks. And buying the whole kit has to be cheaper.
