For crying out loud, I absolutely hate you guys for having vehicles so darn cheap over there!!!
I wouldn't even sell you my 2000 with 60000 miles for that price!!!!
Over in the states, does there ever come a time when vehicles drop so low, that an owner actually has to pay someone to take his truck ???
Darn!

I got $200 for my 1989 Toyota Camry with 190,000 miles on it that I paid $500 for 1.5 years ago.
The power windows quit, the A/C I couldnt keep full and when the fuel pump went out I drilled a hole in the gas tank, took the 5 gals of gas and put in the Rover and removed the 6 month old battery and sold a non running car for almost what I paid for it.
Is this a great country or what?

Well guys, we didn't buy it. We spent another night on the beach and caught a flight back early this morning.
I knew after ten seconds of sitting in it that I wasn't going to buy it. I don't hold anything against the dealer- I am just afraid his standards of a "clean" vehicle are much lower than mine, and I certainly don't think he knows much about Discos, though he claims to deal between 3-7 per month.
The body of the vehicle was almost flawless, save for a few stone pecks in the hood. First irritation was that the "Land Rover" letters were irritatingly dull.
I can't describe all of the rest of the Discos faults to you... but having driven so many of these things (and owning mine for a few months now) I know what's good. I want my '04 to feel new. AT LEAST as freaking new feeling as my 2000 Disco.
I guess I didn't realize what a good buy I got in my 2000. More than a "good buy" in the fiscal sense- I mean, my Disco is perfect. There are zero flaws. It shifts silently and smoothly... it runs perfectly, the interior is perfect, and the body is perfect.
I can't imagine that it will be so hard to find a 2004 that matches it!
We shall see... thanks for all the advice and help, guys.
