One wheel drive sucks

Sorry about not pointing out the need for the t/c swap...I didn't see anything about it being an '02 in the original post.
Here's another advantage, take a Wrangler for a ride over a nice rough road or trail for a couple hours. It may go all kinds of places, but you'll feel it tomorrow...

Only if it has front and rear lockers, which no discos have stock. The cdl only ensures that one front wheel and one rear wheel turns at the same speed, if only 1 tire has grip, the power will go through the open diff of that axle to the tire with the least resistance and you go nowhere. A d2 with a cdl and traction control would be better in that situation than a stock d1 because it would route power to the 1 wheel with grip, simulating a locking diff. If the d2 had a cdl but the tc wasn't working, it would be par with the d1.

I can't really disagree, the d1 has cdl, my d2 doesn't, so off road the d1 is better equipped. However that doesnt mean it can do the things spike thinks it can without a lot more modification...to say otherwise is very misleading for those that don't know.
