Only 17.4MPG? What gives?
In my 99 DII I get 14.5 consistently around town and just over 15 on the highway at 65-70 but I have a safari rack and 2" of lift which makes me as aerodynamic as a brick. I have a new air filter, MAF meter, gas cap, etc. but original Oxygen Sensors. I wonder if they would help mileage?
I change my Front 02s because the service engine light came on and that was the cause. I really don't know how much differance changing a working sensor with a brand new sensor will make. A bad sensor will hurt mpg and they don't last forever.

Hi Willie,
When I did the seafoam, put one canin the tank and pulled another can through the vacuume line on the manifold.
I would guess it should help your cause.
Post back when done, curious what impact it has on your mpg.
Good luck!
Regards,
Nick

Which line on the manifold would that be. I'd be willing to see foam it since I've heard good things about it and will be doing an oil change sometime soon.
Its like summoning Batman to employ the smoke screen!
Actually I was dissapointed, only smoked like a mother for a few minutes when I did it.
Was expecting more I guess...
