Default opinion on 3 issues, skid, tire and alignment.

All right, wanted to get your alls opinion on a couple issues as I get the rover ready for a 1500 mile round trip to the beach. 1). I have the plastic skid plate/under engine cover off from a previous repair and was wondering if it was better to leave it off for maybe better cooling or put it on for better aerodynamics on the interstate? 2) Im replacing one back tire due to a side wall cut with a new tire, the rest of the tires have about 4k miles on them. Should I lower the psi in the one new tire by a psi or two to equalize the size of the new tire to the slightly worn older tires? 3) I just replaced the front drag link and steering damper shock but, I was careful to adjust the new bar to the old bars settings. Should it be realigned? If im off a thread or two on the tie rod ends would that throw off the alignment?
Thanks for your replys and opinions.

The "skid" plate can be left on or left off, makes not much difference, it actually does aid in engine cooling while you drive because it creates a wind "tunnel" in the engine compartment.
But you can leave it off.
Dont worry about the tire size difference, it is not big enough to matter.
Yes you need a alignment before the trip.
Dont over think it man, its just a truck.

What size tires do you have? Depending on that will determine how much you can air down while on the sand.

Yes, that is the key. You must talk nice to her, pat her on the hood and whisper "you're a great truck, keep up the good work"
