Default Opinions needed - should I replace the metal coolant elbow with a new one?

In the middle of a head gasket job and replacing crusty things along the way. The coolant pipe that goes into the intake manifold is disgustingly rusty inside. Been on the maybe list for a while and wondering if I should just go for it. It's not cheap for what it is, like $200, hence the waffling back and forth.

New one here for reference...

If it's not leaking and there are no obvious thin spots I would continue to use what I had.

If there are obvious thin spots then I would consider taking the piece to an exhaust shop. Good chance they could weld you a new piece of pipe to the original flange. Or weld it up yourself if you have the capability.

Call up will at Roverguy.com and get a non-Rusty used one. Probably $30 or so
