I made a video of a what I thought was more of a clanking noise but now I dont think its a clank. Only on a cold start up and quickly goes away. More on the passenger side and almost back of the motor. Like an exhaust related noise.

Really sounds exhausty to me.

I have to tell you, we have really been enjoying this beast. We had the misfires worked out for the most part. Had a random 6 mis still after changing out the coils.
Until last night SES light came on about 13 miles from home then it started to run bad and about a mile from home SES started blinking.
Here is the list

Hi all! Instead of starting a new thread I though I would add to this one. First week of being empty nesters (I hate it) is giving me time to get back to work on our project.
So as you may recall, I had some odd noises at start up and cylinder misfire issues on the passenger side of the motor. I did pull the upper plenum off and saw the lobes on the cam for #8 were worn badly. New cam and lifters and timing chain are sitting in the house waiting to be installed. I thought while I was at it I should have the heads done on replace the gasket (not sure it had ever been done). I noticed right away the 2 middle bolts on the rocker shaft assembly were loose. This is what I found when I pulled the heads. I'm guessing by how easily the exhaust manifold bolts came off this is not the first head gasket job for this bad boy.
Also, looking for some advice on how to get the 13mm bolt holding the harness on the back of the drivers side head also and insight on not damaging the crank (?) sensor back there would be great. Passenger side snapped Rocker Shaft

But regarding the 13mm, no wrench can fit there?
Cheers!

I'm an idiot and a fearless one at that LOL. I realize what I have done. I removed the head before I removed that bolt. So I don't have any leverage. I am going to lightly bolt the head back down and try again.
