Default Overhaul/Upgrades

I wanted to share my plans and I'm open to criticisms, suggestions, etc. I'm attempting to do a relatively major overhaul of the Disco. I will eventually make it a adventure vehicle after I purchase a daily next year.

From Lucky8
2 inch lift kit, terrafirma
+50mm Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines (should be a good length?)

From Bap geon
Brake/Rotor Sets front and rear

I'm looking at tires from several vendors these two off the top seemed half decent.

Falken Eurowinter 255/55/R18
Cooper Discoverer CTS 255/50/R19

I want to avoid too much road noise but still have a little grip for the dirt roads. Tires are certainly my shopping lists weak point.

I'm doing an inspection this weekend to go over any smart parts that need replacing in this process.

Thanks for the input

I have Cooper Discoverer M&S's and I love 'em. i don't get a lot of road noise and they are nails in snow and ice which is what I was aiming for.

I give a big thumbs down to anything falken.
I have tried them twice and the same results both times. They wear like a moist turd, had very poor performance, and I had two of the eight tires that need to be replaced prematurely. The most I got out of either setiwas 13,000 miles.
But that's just my experience maybe yours would be different

would be a good idea to do the 60k maintenance, on the sticky.

I run General Grabber AT2's- great grip and minimal road noise. would not recommend for rocky environs- has poly side walls. otherwise, great tires.

On the tires I would reconsider the size, as I'm running larger than that with no lift. Small tires look funny on a lifted truck

Ditto. Run those as snow tires on my 16" wheels. Love em. Haven't been stuck yet. During the winter I park on a sheet of nice and never have a problem.

Good point on the size. I'll have to investigate the right size for my build.

To the other point on the 60k sticky, I've slowly been working through that.
