Got the 03 back yesterday. They Went ahead and replaced the injectors new ones instead of swapped ones a few days ago and that helped some more.... but still random misfire. So since I had replaced the plugs, they didn’t really consider an issue with the plugs...until they started to run out of ideas. The plugs that I pulled after I bought it were nearly new. Someone recently replaced them, probably in hopes to fix a misfire. I kept those plugs and put them in the NGK boxes and numbered them. I put them in the back of the Disco in case the shop wanted to inspect them. On a whim, they divided to put those plugs back in and see how it would go. Sure enough, it fixed the misfire. They don’t think the NGK plugs went deep enough for good combustion. So I wouldn’t recommend NGK (7092) BKR6EGP G-Power plugs. I’ve now heard that from a few other LR mechanics after I mentioned it.
They also told me the original cats were a mess. Clogged and collapsing.

I took it out today for a shakedown. So far, so good. Nice to have this truck running. It’s a nice rig. (Knock wood)
