So was it the oil pressure sender?

I think it was just the oil pump needing to be primed, but I can't be sure. New oil sender was cheap enough anyway and gives me peace of mind. Thanks for all your help Charlie!

I ended up making a fitting with a tap and die set I own. The oil pressure gauge I have came with a few fittings but none matched the oil pressure sensor.
