It's flopping around loose? There is a bracket that it's supposed to mount into.

@mollusc Wrong verbiage. Not flopping around and it is connected to a bracket. But is is loosely connected. I can wiggle it like a see-saw. Is this expected?

I believe mine has a bracket for each hose, one on the front hose and one on the rear hose... The valve itself is not held with a bracket. No flopping.

Possibly you are missing one bracket?

Unit sits on a black bracket mounted to the intake manifold. From the factory it has two plastic clips that fit over the hoses to keep it in place. If those are broken, simply remove the base (usually that stays after the top breaks off) and just use a zip tie in each location to hold it in the same fashion as the OEM setup.

Thanks guys. Clearly I am missing the bracket. I replaced the purge valve today with the Hyundai part and will zip tie in place and see how it goes.

Replaced the purge valve. Ran for about a day then gave me another service engine soon light. I am stumped. Thoughts?

Let us know if you ever figure this out. I get those codes from time to time
I ordered a smoke tester which I will do intake and hoses leak checked
check your connections and wires going into plug

i know if you unplug it you will get that code pretty quick So I know the system knows it’s unplugged.
Hince why I suggested check the connector where the wires go in.

@cvhyatt I went around on mine too, I kept getting the code every 50 to 70KM, replaced the purge valve with a Bosch unit and replaced the hose clamps so far so good. If you can get your hose off try some compressed air on the intake side into the throttle body, it should flow pretty freely

Is this still using the OEM hose? Does it look cracked? Make sure the nipple on the intake where it connects isn't loose. Also make sure the connector below the purge control valve toward the back of the engine/bulkhead isn't loose. There is an OEM inline bleeder on that line as well never had one leak but make sure the cap is on it. Gas cap securing tightly?
