Default P1300 Catalyst Damaging Misfire

Why does it always happen when the wife is driving????

My Disco's alway treats me well but when the wife gets behind the wheel the Disco Gods Clash!!!

I recieved the following codes:
P1300 Catalyst Damaging Misfire
P0308 Cyl 8 Misfire
P0304 Cyl 4 Misfire
P0308 Cyl 5 Misfire
P0335 Crankshaft position sensor A circuit

Now I've never replaced my plug wires on this rig and will do so but my real question stems from this.

The Disco seems to have went into some type of protective mode. The digital gauge that shows what gear your in on the dash pod was flashing "D" and below that a "M" & "S" were flashing green. The tranmission seemed to be limited to possibly 3 gear since I couldn't go very fast.

I came home cleared the codes, shut the vehicle off and all was good for now.

Has anyone seen this??

You need to do a serious tune along with a set of 8mm silicone wires, do an induction cleaning and throw a can of 44K in your gas tank. This will clear all but the 335 code which normally shows up when you have stalling or starting problems. I would wait on the new crank sensor till you do the tune up.

Your truck went into limp mode because your battery voltage is to low.
What grade of gas is she using? What grade of gas are you using?
if she is using regular and you premium your truck will not like that at all.

Premium Fuel in the beast. Going to replace the wires and hope it doesn't come back.
